Ten on Tuesday

1. We are having a wonderful, but super busy summer! We all love this time of the year. Fall is my favorite, but seeing my girls soak up the sun lately is really making me love summer also! I will probably change my mind a little when the girls are dragging me outside in the triple digit weather. =)

2. They are both loving swim lessons. The first few days with Juliet were no fun. She didn't wan to listen, she just wanted to splash around and keep cool. Now she loves it. Bryan took over and has gone with her to all of the classes, except for one. They both love the alone time together. Plus they can look right over and see Gianna in another part of the pool. Gianna loves it and talks about it all the time. She is doing so great. This past weekend we took her swimming at her Nonna's house, and she was so brave! Showing us her underwater moves, kicking, and jumping in. I am glad she likes it so much. Some of my fondest memories was taking lessons with my brother at our local park. We were always so excited to show our Mom our new moves.

3. Juliet of course is bursting with new words daily. This week her newest words are: share, bird, I want some, no thank you, Hailey, potty, wipes and diaper. I am getting scared for when she really starts talking. I totally feel like Gianna has a word quota to reach a day, and double that is going to be insanity! haha

4. Speaking of G. She has been so sweet lately, and also very self sufficient. The sweetness I love, but she has been getting into everything. She pours her sister and her a bowl of cereal while I am in the laundry room (so sneaky so I cant hear), washes her own fruit, and just yesterday decided to use a butter knife to cut an avocado she wanted to share with her sister. I don't know what to do! I baby proofed the cabinets, do they have a refrigerator lock so kids cant open it? I don't really mind the fact that she is eating, its more that she takes it in her playroom. Avocado and her new purple rug don't mix! Believe me, I had to clean it up yesterday. I did manage to get a cute pic of her relaxing with Belle and drawing some pictures for her friends on her adorable purple rug.

5. OK I know I said I was going to do a giveaway this month for my Mom's baby line, but I have been so busy that I haven't had time for anything. I promise I am still going to do it! =) Soooo keep an eye out!

6. I am so excited the fair is coming into town! I love the fair and all the fried goodness it brings with it! Gianna is also excited. She said she wants to play all the games and eat ice cream and funnel cakes. Sounds like a good plan to me!

7. On Sunday my sisters Jessi, Sharon and I went bridesmaid dress shopping. Julie decided that we could all chose our own style then we will all wear the same color. Its going to be in a really pretty dark blue (more royal, less navy). My dress is so me and it is so pretty! Julie also bought her wedding dress that day and it is gorgeous. I cant wait for the wedding. I am so happy for my best friend! I love seeing her so happy!!

(in the pic Julie tried on the dress her sister is going to wear, since she lives in Idaho and couldn't be here)

8. We also love summer because play dates are weekly and a must!! For the sanity of us all. Being with some awesome Moms and amazing lil kiddos is the best! In the past few weeks we have gone to the Ladera splash park, a movie and a park day, Sea world, and this week we are having a little potluck. I am going to miss the fun when we go to Buffalo, but I wont be gone too long.

9. Yup this weekend we are taking off to Buffalo for 10 days. I am eager to hang out with the cousins since we have all been keeping in touch via facebook and because they are just awesome people. We have a few fun things planned and maybe a trip back to Niagara falls, but hopefully this time we will be able to go at night.

10. Being in buffalo and the fact that my other computer doesn't have photoshop on it, means I wont be posting for a while. I do however anticipate lots of pics when I get back!!!

Our 4th of July

We had a fantastic day with our lil familly! We all woke up and enjoyed nice breakfast/lunch at Denny's, and on the way home we drove by our local splash park. To our amazement there werent too many people there, so we decided to run home, change, and go back and play. Juliet ran around, followed G, and found her own fun things to do alone. G of course just loves seeing other kids and being around them, so she also had a great time. They both loved it.

After playing at the park for a while we brought Juliet home for a nap before we headed out again. Sharon, AJ and baby James came out to join us at the Pechanga Pow wow. It was such a beautiful evening, and they had so many great booths with awesome things. Bryan bought me the prettiest feathers to wear in my hair, and G & J each got an adorable bracelet. We also had some shaved ice, and listened to the native american drums. Unfortunately Juliet had a diaper blow out and the evening was cut short. She hasnt had a blow out since she was a baby, so I was not prepared!!

We drove home, then came right in and changed her clothes. We all threw on some jeans and once again we were back out the door. Our nearby park was having a firework show, and since it was so close we could walk (instead of fighting the CRAZY car traffic) we decided to spend the rest of the evening there. It was such an amazing show!! Our city did such a nice job and Gianna couldnt get enough. Seeing her little face stare into the sky with excitement was the highlight of my night. Juliet enjoyed it too, but only after I covered her ears so it wasnt so loud. Next year I will for sure bring her some earplugs!

Angel game

Yesterday was my nephew Ethan's 14th birthday!! I cant believe he is going to be in high school!!! My brother Jeff and my sister in law Jolissa planned a great lil party at Angel stadium. We kicked off the party with a lil tailgating. We had yummy cheeseburgers, cupcakes, and just had a great time being together. There was around 25 people who joined us in the fun. 16 of them was just our immediate family, haha. We all sat together in the right field pavilion. (our favorite place to sit) The girls loved eating peanuts, and cotton candy. It was actually their first Angel game! G has been to numerous Dodger games, and Juliet to 1 Dodger game when she was a baby, but never an Angel game. I was pretty excited considering the Angels are my favorite team.

It was great game with a few home runs, which meant some fireworks. Juliet loooved them! Juliet also had the most fun. She wanted to cheer, dance, and was in awe of all that was going on around her. Toward the end of the night you can tell she was getting pretty tired, because when I asked her if she wanted to go home she told me "Yes", and then crashed out as soon as we got on the freeway.

Sleepover!

Last Friday night Gianna had her friend Hailey over for her first sleepover at our house. She was ridiculously excited all week!! On Thursday we went to Target to get some popcorn, snacks and Little mermaid coloring books. That really made G's day and then she kept asking me if it was Friday yet. Hailey was equally excited and even told me at swim class that she is spending the night on share day. (friday, sooo cute!)

They had a blast!! We first had dinner, then played in the backyard for a little bit. From there the girls were all ready to put their PJ's on, lay in the tent and watch the care bear movie. They did that for maybe 20 minutes then decided that playing with the flashlights in the tent, and then outside was alot more fun. Of course it was, it meant they didn't have to lay down! From there they had a dress up fashion show, and we all (not Juliet though, since she was sleeping) went into the jacuzzi. The girls showed us their new swim lesson moves, and just loved it. Being in the water made them hungry, so Bryan made them sandwiches in hopes they would have full tummys and want to go to sleep. Ya, that didn't happen. They finally fell asleep around 1:30 in the morning!!

At least being up so late meant they would sleep in. Ya that didn't happen either. They were both wide eyed and ready for the day around 6:30am. We didnt mind, they were both such good girls. They spent the morning trying on G's dresses, and playing with Juliet. We also got to enjoy a yummy breakfast with Sondra and Curtis before the fun ended.

Gianna is already asking me when she can have her over again. I think we might have to wait till I catch up on my sleep! =)
