November already!

Halloween 2009

It seems like it took forever for October to get here, but then it seems like it went by so fast. I cant believe we are already in November. My precious little Juliet is going to be 2 this weekend! Just today I was looking through some old pictures of when she was around 8 months, and just for a minute I thought I wanted another baby. Then I remembered the 4 hours spent at the ER on Monday because she decided to be a daredevil and climb up the bookshelf with her older sister, and I got over it pretty quickly. haha.

We had a great halloween weekend. Gianna had a game in the morning and later in the afternoon The Stock Family, my sister Sharon, her boyfriend AJ & my nephew James came over for some chili and trick or treating. This was our first year in our new neighborhood and it was awesome. Some of the houses went all out, and they even had a few haunted houses. The kids loved it. The weather of course was perfect, as was the company. The girls also loved walking around as a cheeseburger and fries. Every time someone would see G they would ask, "Where's the fries?" and 2 seconds later Juliet would show up and they thought it was so cute! Gianna is already talking about next years costume =)

Ten on Tuesday

1. Sorry I have been lagging on updating my blog, but we have been so busy around here!

2. Gianna is loving dance classes. She loves being a ballerina and hanging out with lots of other little girls. She also really loves that at the end of class they invite the parents to come dance with the girls. I love it too! Here is my tiny dancer in action!

3. Now soccer, well thats another story. Gianna likes going to practice (which is usually cancelled because of extreme heat, and last week was a wet field) but she isnt a fan of playing in the games. The first game she had, she was a little superstar. Now she seems like she doesnt want to do anything! She said it's because the girls take the ball away from her all the time, and she just wants to play and be friends. She is such a lil sweetie. She did however say that she does like soccer and wants to play again next year. I guess next fall we will once again be melting every saturday at the soccer field! Lets hope once she is a little older she will find a sport she really likes and not want to try everything. Her newest thing is she wants to play softball. At least she likes to be involved right?

4. I have also been busy with planning Juliet's 2nd birthday. I cant believe my baby girl is going to be TWO. I mean I guess I can believe it considering that she has been acting like the terrible twos hit these past few months. Yesterday we had a family photo session with my awesome friend Jen, and Juliet was just horrible. Jen asked if I wanted her to come back when Juliet was in a better mood, but I told her that I dont want to wait till she is 4! haha. I am kidding. Juliet has her good days. She is so smart and is talking nonstop. She says anything and everything! She also is a bottomless pit and eats nonstop. From the minute she wakes up till the minute she goes to bed all she has is food on her mind.

5. The weather has been so nice lately, that I am so sad it is going to go back into the 90's this week! I love those crisp, cold mornings and I miss them already. Oh well hopefully after halloween it will start to cool back down. Cooler weather is great disneyland weather! We have taken the girls to disneyland twice this month to see all the halloween decorations. They just love it. Juliet points and yells out "pumpkins!!". Its so cute. Speaking of cute, here are both of my girls after riding on Winnie the pooh.

(Oh and can you tell how much G is totally hamming it up for the video?, haha)

6. This past weekend, Bryan and I did some home improvements around the house and I am so happy with them. We added a rug, 2 chairs and a small coffee table in our master bedroom, we put up curtains in the laundry room, we painted our family room wall, and we painted over the yucky orange that was in our kitchen. I still have a few more little things to do here and there, but for now I am so happy with how things are turning out. Once I hang up a few more things I will try to post some house pictures.

7. I also still need to post pictures of my girls in their halloween costumes, our trip to the pumpkin patch, our disneyland trip for G's friend Hailey's 5th birthday, our halloween party snapshot pics and some of G's past soccer games. I am sure I will get around to it one day, when that day is, I am not sure. =)

8. With it getting hotter, I am in need of some crock pot recipes!! When its hot out, I do not like to cook and I am running out of crock pot things to make. Any recipes you guys love and would like to share with me?

9. I know I have shared my favorite recipe with my friends on facebook, but I think I will share it here too. Yup they are just that good!!!! You can find the recipe here. Its so easy to make and everyone in my family loves it!!

10. Today we are hanging out at home and letting the girlies relax till we take them to Nonie's house tonight. Bryan and I are going on a date night with my older brother and sister in law to the Angel game. I havent been a big fan of baseball lately, but I do love date nights and hanging out with some wonderful people =)

Hope everyone has an awesome Tuesday!!

Our play group halloween party was such a success. The Lensing Fam- Our future in laws

Yesterday our family got to spend the evening with one of our favorite families, The Lensings!! Jen is one of my best friends, and I love her and her family so very much. Its awesome to have another Mom in my life who helps me, supports me, and is always there for me. We met when our little G's were 1 year old and it is so cool to see how well they get along. Even if they are a boy and girl, they dont care. They have the best time! Plus they are starting to come around to our idea of an arranged marriage, haha. I mean how easy would family reunions be if our girls married their boys? Even Juliet and Drew get along. On the way to our Thursday playdates, Juliet always gets soo excited and yells out "DREW DREW" the entire time!

We are so blessed to have such kind hearted people in our lives. I look forward to many, many years of fun picture taking outings with our wonderful Lensing friends!!!

First day of Preschool

First day of Preschool

We have had so many firsts for Gianna these past few months. Her first soccer game, her first dance class, and now her first day of preschool. I had been dreading this day because I hate being away from my lil girl. She brightens my mornings with her laughter, wit, and smile. What was I going to do without her for 3 whole hours (2x's a week)? Plus I was sad at the fact that my first born baby was old enough to actually go to school!! All morning I thought back to her first few years of life. Even before she was born. Like the day I found out I was pregnant with her. I seriously feels like it was yesterday. I remember sending Bryan a picture message with a picture of the positive test, and the text reading "Just took this, kinda freaking out". Thinking about it, it made me laugh. I am still freaking out at everything when it comes to her. So instead of letting the situation get to me, I decided to make the best of it =) Also to ease my sadness and fears, it turns out that my sister Melania enrolled my nephew in the same class as G! Gianna was so excited to find out that her cousin was in her class!!

We got there and Gianna made me so proud. Finding her name immediately on the sign in table, putting her lunch away in her cubby, and just being so ready to learn. It filled my heart with joy. It also makes me happy to know that 2 days a week 3 hours a day, my precious little girl gets to share her wonderful self with others, all while she is having a great morning of learning and fun.

While G was in school, I got to spend some one on one time with Juliet and it was great. I ended up signing her up for a music class on Monday mornings, so it gives us something to do together while G is gone. The class is all music, no tapes or cds though. All sung by the leader while she plays her guitar. Juliet loved it. She got to not only be with just me, but she got to be around other kids her age, and of course she really loves music. At first she was shy like she usually is, but after a few minutes she was standing up dancing in circles. The class rocked and the leader totally reminded me of Laurie Berkner, haha.

When Juliet and I picked up G, she was happy to see us, but kept telling me how much fun she had at school. Then we were getting in the car and the first thing Gianna does is pinch Juliet while getting in her car seat. (Oh sisterly love) I then told her "Gianna dont be mean, your sister missed you all day today". She stopped, then a moment later I was raising my voice to tell her to put on her seatbelt. Her reply: " Mom, dont be mean, I missed you all day today". Oh that kid.

Gianna's first day of dance class

Today G started dance classes with her little friend Dakota, and it was such a special day for her. Last night before we went to bed, she picked out what leotard she wanted to wear and hung it out where she could see it. The minute she woke up this morning it was all she wanted to talk about. We spent the morning on a shopping playdate and it really wore her out (and of course Juliet, and myself =)), so when we got home she didnt even fight when I asked her to take a much needed nap. She woke up cheerful, refreshed and ready for her first day of ballet & tap. It was so adorable watching her and Dakota (and all the little girls!). They all look like they are having the best time, and are so cute and happy dancing their little hearts out. Let me tell you, not only were our girls so cute, but they also did an awesome job for their first class!
